This work was inspired by watching the Dunhuang exhibition. I was moved by the story of the Nine-Coloured Deer, which is one of the images of the reincarnation of the Buddha. These three paintings depict the birth of the Nine-Coloured Deer, its cultivation, and its attainment of Buddhahood, and I pondered the meaning of life.
Life is a short journey of self-cultivation and eventually we will all grow old, so we should enjoy the moment and cherish the present.
